Zarut Projec
The Zhalute Converter Station is a ±800 kV ultra-high voltage direct current (UHVDC) converter station located in Zhalute Banner, Inner Mongolia. It serves as the sending-end starting point of the Zhalute–Qingzhou ±800 kV UHVDC transmission project. This project was put into operation on December 31, 2017, with a total line length of 1,234 kilometers, a rated transmission power of 10,000 megawatts, and an annual designed transmission capacity of 55 billion kilowatt-hours. Its core task is to deliver electricity from Northeast China to Shandong, alleviating regional power curtailment and facilitating the integration of renewable energy.
