Extrusion equipment for PVC double-wall corrugated pipe
The extrusion equipment for PVC double-wall corrugated pipe is basically similar to that for single-wall corrugated pipe, except for the forming mold for the pipe blank. However, since double-wall corrugated pipes are mostly large-diameter specifications and require more raw materials for extrusion molding, it is recommended to use a twin-screw extruder, which will be better.
The extrusion equipment for PVC double-wall corrugated pipe is basically similar to that for single-wall corrugated pipe, except for the forming mold for the pipe blank. However, since double-wall corrugated pipes are mostly large-diameter specifications and require more raw materials for extrusion molding, it is recommended to use a twin-screw extruder, which will be better.
In addition, the structure of the pipe blank molding mold for double-wall corrugated pipes is different from that of the pipe blank molding mold for single-wall corrugated pipes in that: the straight section of the mold molding pipe blank is longer; there are two melt diversion cones and two layers of melt flow channel cavities, and the melt in these two melt flow channel cavities respectively forms the inner and outer layers of the double-wall corrugated pipe; there is also a compressed air inlet channel between the inner and outer melt flow channel cavities, where the compressed air entering here inflates the outer layer of the pipe wall, making it close to the corrugated mold to form the corrugation of the pipe; the center hole of the inner core rod can place a heater, and there are also through holes for compressed air and cooling water.
The similarities between the two mold structures are: there should be a porous plate in front of the melt diverter cone, and the wall thickness of the tube blank is adjusted by adjusting the movement of the diverter cone and the core rod to adjust the gap between the core rod and the die, while the die cannot move because it extends between the two halves of the corrugated mold.
